this won an academy award for best animated short film at the 2008 oscars. i watched it last night on tv and thought it was really great, even though i'm sure the slightly creepy claymation and lack of dialogue will probably be a deterrent for anyone reading this to actually watch it. it's so good though! and the music reminds me of being a little kid and listening to the peter and the wolf soundtrack on the record player in my old house. NOSTALGIA. i am still a little bitter that the duck gets eaten by the wolf, though...anyways, here's the trailer outlining the happiness pre-duck death:
